I recently had twins and Dr. Torrance is my doctor. I would recommend anyone seeking a practical, thorough obgyn to see Dr. T. The nurses and staff have always been courteous. My usual wait time is around 30 minutes.
Literally the best time for an appointment is 8:00am, when the office first opens. In that case, you only have to wait twenty to thirty minutes to be seen!
The people at this facility have no personality. No one is friendly, no one smiles at you, and it certainly doesn't make you feel any less awkward when you're getting your lady bits examined. Definitely will be finding a new gynecologist.
This place is ridiculous. They prescribed a low dose birth control pill that they knew had reduced effectiveness on overweight women, I am pretty noticeably overweight, and wouldn't give me a straight answer when I asked about it several times. I kept having to play phone tag with the nurse when I was redirected to her line; yet, whenever I got fed up and asked the phone operators to get the nurse, she was there in seconds. All of this after being prescribed a birth control I didn't want that was in such high doses almost everyone on it had side effects.
Years ago, this review would be four stars, however, lately the appointment Times seem to be suggestions. You arrive early, as usual, but don't get seen till an hour or two past the appointment time, despite your appointment time is 30 minutes after the office is opening.
Sadly, I have to agree with all of the other negative reviews. My appointment was at 1:00, I got there at 12:20, and didn't get called back until almost 2:30. I met with my Doctor for 2 minutes (literally) and she had to leave to go to the hospital. No biggie, but the way the other nurses handled the situation pissed me off. They popped in 10 minutes after she left to tell me that someone would be with me in 15-20 minutes! After I already waited almost 2 hours to be seen. I got up and walked out. The customer service was HORRIBLE. I called my insurance and changed doctors immediately.
Besides the never ending phone tag, the waiting times are insane majority of the time. I went to get the last shot in a 3 part series to help prevent cancer, just a shot, never had to see the doctor, anyone could give it to me, but I had to wait TWO hours. They were not full, it wasn't even half full, I just waited while so many people who arrived after me went first. It took a minute or less for that shot. And yes, I had an appointment.
