If I could give 0 stars, I would. I called Akadia Realty 4 times to look at a property that I was interested in buying. I was AT the property twice and no one could meet me. On the last day that I called her, she assured that she would call me after her last appointment. I'm still waiting on that call.
Legal Disclaimer: This my story and my opinions. You should contact Martha C Conner who owns Akadia Realty to hear her side of the story before forming your own opinion.
This is an awful lady, Martha C Conner who owns Akadia Realty. I was purchasing a home she had listed. I was using another broker as my buyer's agent. We had a problem with the paperwork and she refused to fix it. Martha Conner got really mad at my agent and me. I overheard Martha Conner being very rude to my agent on the phone. I was having trouble getting the loan and Martha Conner knew it. On the scheduled closing date she staged a fake closing, real crooked lawyer, thinking I would not have the money in time. I showed up with the bank check in hand, got it just minutes before, and the lawyer said he had not received the deed yet and the closing was postponed. The deed really had not arrived. When the deed finally arrived the lawyer said he needed two days to prepare for the closing after he received the deed. If he needed two days then why didn't he need two days before for the fake closing? During the closing the lawyer tried to slip in a paper for me to sign saying I would not sue Martha C Conner, which I did not sign.
If I could give zero stars I would. My fiancé and I were interested in buying a house and had called the office, the lady on the phone told us that the house had already been In the process of being sold. We were sad, but willing to ask her about other listing she had. My fiancé continued to explain to her his excellent credit situation and his standing with the bank, and before he could finish his explaining she hung up. I proceeded to call the number again from his phone to confront her. I believe I was very polite in introducing myself, saying hello and giving my name. I told her I didn't appreciate how she hung up on my fiancé, she then told me the same thing that she told him, that the listing was being sold. Before I could finish telling her that I understood and was interested in talking with her about other listings she hung up again. I proceeded to look at their website (very cheap and not user friendly), and also looked at the other reviews for this company. Please be wary of using this company. If this woman wants her company to succeed, she'll have to be 100% better at customer service
