Conditions of animals are sad. They do not follow up on spay and neuter contracts. This is a kill shelter, however, I would encourage people to adopt here, if you avoid the place the animals will just be pushed to the side.

this shelter has a dedicated staff and a hard-working team of volunteers. the one-star reviews you see here concern an incident which occurred when a man not fully in possession of his mind arrived at the shelter and refused to leave and threatened the staff. it was a terrible incident. but that's what it was-- a single incident. forget these trolls. it's as good as an under-funded shelter can be.
I have lost my cat. I had to move out of state because Pointe South kicked my daughter and I put because we had pets. My cat went missing during the move. I've called multiple times to the shelter and no one returns my calls. I hope they haven't put my baby down because they are too busy/lazy/unorganized to answer the phone or return calls. My daughter and I lost our home for our pet and my cat may have lost her life. Like anyone cares.
We rescued a beautiful dog almost 2 years ago. Best decision ever. They microchiped her plus adoption fee all together 45.00. Thank you to the hard working staff.
