The general manager tonight harassed my mother for needing help, instead of helping her purchasing an item. Everyone I've ever met that works there has been super friendly, except for him, who really did harass my mother in front of me for being slightly upset, prior to him showing up to "help", which he clearly did not care to help at all, only provoke her over and over and over. Three times he demanded to answer a question before even asking, or asking us at all, what she needed help with. He kept provoking us after we told him we would leave and not buy anything instead of being forced to answer his cop-like questions of "Do you understand me", after he lectured her about how busy they were. He claimed this was the busiest day of the year, yet, it wasn't black friday at all. Like I said, the young man was already upset over something outside of my mother's needing of help, and wanted to take it out on her. I of course, cursed the young jerk out, defending my mother, like anyone would. I tried to call the store afterwards, to not only apologize, but to ask about the man and why he was acting so out of line, they hung up the phone on me instead of doing anything about it at all. I suppose you'd be okay with any of the normal employees helping you purchase something here, but after dealing with this HORRIBLE RUDE ASS OF A GM, my family will not be shopping there anymore. We already cut up our best buy credit cards from them, never to use them again. That young man, can go to hell for all I care for treating not only a woman like that, my own mother in front of my eyes like that! All she wanted was some help to purchase a robot vacuum, not be treated like a criminal! He obviously had no fear at all about any repercussions, and I doubt anything will ever happen to the jerk, but there is a special place in hell for folks that can't understand customer relations, nor care too. The young man needs better training, or another job that doesn't involve women whom have had an aneurysm like my mother has. What a completely heartless, clueless GM he is! Next time, don't cock an attitude with the customers before even asking what the problem may be, or listening to the customer about anything at all, or what items we needed to buy! Without customers, what good is a store? Jerk! I swear, you'd defend your mother as well if you ever seen what I just did!
Knowledgeable and friendly salesman, online the TV wanted was out of stock but he went back and made sure. He agreed that mine was the best choice. I will watch for restocking.

This store is awful. I scheduled an install with the geek squad which required me to take a day off work. They called me to reschedule the bay before my appointment. Once I take a day off work, I can't decide not to. Then I took another day off for the rescheduled appointment. They called the day before to confirm the appointment. Then two hours later, they called to reschedule. I told them to forget it. Two vacation days gone. Then they would not give me my money back for the item they were supposed to come install. They "had to put it on a gift card". The manager was absolutely no help and would not even stop and speak directly to me. "He is new" He needs to be fired. I am a manager and I would never make a customer feel like they didn't matter. This guy did just that. I am done with Best Buy. I guess I will have to give this gift card as a Christmas present because I refuse to ever go in an other Best Buy.
I've purchased many items over the years from Best Buy in Dothan. I like to research things online but prefer to go to a store to see and handle them in person. I find that Best Buy's prices are competitive. Sometimes it's a little hard to find a knowledgeable salesperson if you are patient you can find one. And this store has a number of them. I like the fact that if I have a problem I can take the product back to the store rather than have to talk to someone on the phone or email or send the product back through the mail. That's why I have Geek Squad protection. Great store.
